Cold One To

Over the last few moths i've been trying to variate my style of writing and figure out which way to go. I wasn't surprised when i found that vedder's third-person storytelling style felt just right. I also took towards his first-person bits but i sound too emo that way for some reason.
This one is a prime example of mr.Vedder's influence on my writing

A tear slides down her face
As she slowly drives away
Far from the house of wax and flame
Not a minute spent to mourn
The life she once called her own
Just looking back and feeling all alone

She lives off all her dreams
Waiting to find release
But there's a trapdoor in the road

The road splits into four
Can't decide which way to to go
Turn back home but could it be anymore?
She finds the keys, she sees the signs
Remembers all that peace of mind
Instinct says it'll be the same this time

She crosses her heavy heart
To find a brand new start
But there's a trapdoor in the road

There's a need to be on edge
But there's comfort in rest
Everyday is a battle to forget
Torn between dreams
She's just caught in between
Where to go? The village or the sea?

The corner hits her square
She vows not to despair
But there's a trapdoor in the road...
